A cup of sugar can be replaced with ¾ cup pure maple syrup. For every cup of maple syrup substituted, reduce the liquid in the recipe by 3 tablespoons. Maple syrup caramelizes at a lower temperature than sugar, therefore you may want to turn the oven down 25 degrees. Your recipe will still be sweet but healthier!
